Lobby or reception in Hotel Murillo

Fantastic location in shady streets of the historic old town within easy walking distance of the cathedral and Alcazar. Hotel had character and was spotlessly clean. Lots of eateries nearby. Bed was very comfy, daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Buffet breakfast in Hotel Murillo

The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to the cathedral. There is a good restaurant just opposite the hotel and 2/3 mins walk either way would get you to more places to eat, gift shops etc.The building itself is impressive inside. The room was clean and comfortable, good breakfast. They had a safe deposit locker at the reception which is free of charge. Staff are really good. Reception staff all spoke english. Overall a really good experience.

Very central hotel, a bit difficult to find at first, but in a very historic and atmospheric part of the city, close to Alcazar and cathedral. The hotel reception areas feel like you in a museum (in a nice way ) with period features. Staff pleasant, especially the breakfast staff. Room nice, although we only had a view facing a wall. Fridge in room. Shower and bath. Did request a quiet room away from the lift and they did sort that for us. All in all a nice stay, shame about the weather.

Buffet breakfast in Hotel Murillo

The property location is excellent, very close to the historic centre of Seville. The centre is a rabbit warren of streets but the hotel provided us with a map and we soon found ourselves navigating the narrow streets. The breakfast was quite adequate, fair range of breads and pastries, so we were able to fill up. There was some hot food but not to our taste. There was also a range of yoghurts, meat, cheese, fresh fruit and a couple of cereals so hopefully enough to satisfy most people’s taste. Importantly for us the coffee was quite decent despite it being from a machine. We travelled in March and the weather was fantastic so every late afternoon we sat on the terrace and soaked up the sunshine. Unfortunately the terrace bar was not open and it does state it is a seasonal bar but we took our own drinks with us. The room itself was very clean and the decor of the hotel was historic and interesting. There are lifts in the hotel although they are quite small. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and our rooms were cleaned every day.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Sevilla. It is consistently good and good value in an expensive city. Great location in a quiet alley in the barrio Santa Cruz within easy walking distance of many of the main sites and restaurants. It is also a short 10-15 minute walk from the San Sebastián bus station. The hotel has a welcoming museum-like lobby of historical artifacts and helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts with lots of fresh fruits, yogurts, eggs, breads, pastries and typical Spanish options. Quiet A/C. Wifi worked well in room and common areas.

Lobby or reception in Hotel Murillo

The location couldn't be better, everything is within 5 to 15 minutes walk. The room was smaller than I expected, and would have preferred a double bed, but I loved the spacious terrace and it was always spotlessly clean. The roof terrace is absolutely beautiful. The reception staff were MARVELLOUS, so friendly and reliable great! The breakfast was good, as far as fruit, yogurt, pastries, coffee are concerned. I was not impressed by the cooked breakfast being exactly the same every day (at least each one of the three breakfasts I had at hotel), and seemed like the scrambled eggs were out of a packet rather than fresh. Hotel Murillo is an excellent place to stay for the price, but I would make an effort to stay at their more luxurious Suites Murillo next time, specially as they magnificent reception staff is the same as far as I understand.

When we arrived we were given a very small noisy room near the lift. At 5 pm the hotel water supply pipe burst. The following morning we were moved to an apartment while the water supply was being repaired. This was a lovely suite in a fabulous location. We spent one night there and then returned to the hotel the following evening. We had a much better room and the water supply was restored about 9 pm. The staff throughout this time were excellent

Property building in Hotel Murillo

Perfect central location for exploring the city. Myriad of options for food, drinks, museums all within 5-10 minutes of walking. The staff were really friendly, the check in/out process was swift and easy and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Amazing roof with a view of the cathedral makes it very attractive as an option to just buy a Cruzcampo from the store and just chill after a long day of sightseeing. Really stunning.

Buffet breakfast in Hotel Murillo

Very good value for money. Hotel in old building ,very nice lobby, very friendly ,polite and helpful staff. Room small but cozy, clean and was perfect for our 1 night stay. Very nice terrace . Bathroom has a very good water temperature and pressure. Rooms facing the street might be a bit noisy but it is always a case in old towns.

Location was very good, right in the old town, just a short walk to the cathedral. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and shower was powerful, had everything I needed. We were advised to have the breakfast and I'm glad we did. Great choice and good value also there wasn't anywhere open early. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room on a higher floor.
